Sliding Number Puzzle
Build spatial reasoning by tracking a tile’s target position before moving the empty space into place.
A solvable shuffle
Shuffling with legal moves from a finished board guarantees the resulting layout is reachable. Find neighboring tiles first; moving arbitrary numbers without planning may increase the move count.
Three practical techniques
| Step | What to do |
|---|---|
| Start a new round | Use the New, Shuffle or Restart control when you want a fresh board. |
| Learn the rule | Read the instruction shown above the board. Not every game follows the same move rules. |
| Practise deliberately | Try a specific goal, such as winning without hints or reducing move count. |
